Correspondents are: Napa State Hospital, Department of Mental Hygiene, inviting Bronowski to speak to staff on 'Man and Mankind' (1970); Joanne Shorey (Smithsonian Institute in Washington) asking Bronowski to participate in a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) conference on 'Planning for the year 2000' (1974); National Academy of Sciences asking Bronowski to speak at an Academy Forum on "Energy, Future Alternatives and Risks" (1974) with a précis and leaflet about the forum; National Academy of Sciences inviting Jacob and Rita Bronowski to attend the Copernicus Quincentennial Dinner in New York; NASA asking Bronowski to take part in a symposium on 'The Search for Extraterrestrial Life' (1966); National Council of Teachers of English inviting Bronowski to give the closing speech at a conference on 'Humanities Programs: An Appraisal' sponsored by the Council (1968); National Endowment for the Humanities asking Bronowski to review a candidate (Dr Rene Dubos) to give the Jefferson Lecture in the Humanities, with a promotional leaflet about the lectures; Professor A H Black (McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario) asking Bronowski to take part in the 4th annual seminar of the National Federation of Canadian Students (1961); Education and Public Affairs Committee of the West Sussex federation of the National Federation of Women's Institutes (United Kingdom) asking Bronowski to speak at a conference on world population (1973); The National Humanities Faculty (United States) inviting Bronowski to join the faculty for 1973-74, with a leaflet about the organisation; The National Institute of Adult Education (United Kingdom) asking Bronowski to address the Institute's conference (1970) in York; Instrument Society of America, San Diego Chapter, inviting Bronowski to speak at a meeting of the Chapter (1970); National Science Teachers Association asking Bronowski to address the Association at its annual conventions (1964, 1966 & 1967); The National Foundation-March of Dimes asking Bronowski to give a talk on 'Scientific Communication Problems' at the National Foundation's Annual Awards Dinner (1967) and asking Bronowski to see students who were to attend a day conference and tour of the Salk Institute, sponsored by the March of Dimes and called 'Day in Science' (1968), with a press release and leaflet about 'Day in Science'.
