Scope and content
Letter from Thomas Gaskin to William French, 15th July 1833. Written from 114 St. John Street, Clerkenwell. Stopped at the Lodge to see the French but was unable as he was meeting with Mr. Graham and another gentleman. Wants to apply to be the next Steward once Mr. Graham resigns. Says he'd be more easily able to live on the income from being a Fellow and Steward than Mr. Graham was (Mr. Graham having just fitted out his house). Would want to introduce Ansted, MOrris and Parkinson to one of the scholarships as they are not very well off. Asked Swan and Wentworth to call upon French to discuss the rooms in need of repair.
