Copy of a letter from Stewart Lyon to Philip Grierson, typescript, two pages on two folios (recto only), dated 25 May 1968, concerning a paper of PG on the measurement of die-output that challenges the views put forward a short time earlier by [Lodovico] Brunetti. CSSL touches upon such things as the influence of the sample size on considerations of die-output and the cost or difficulty of obtaining replacement dies as a determinant of die-output. There is a manuscript note in the upper right corner of the first page that reads: "Ian, for interest – or amusement, Stewart".
