Scope and content

Letter from Simon Blunt to Miranda Carter, in typescript (copy), two pages on two folios (recto only), dated 2 April 2000, in response to a letter from Miranda Carter dated 1 March. SWB takes issue with Miranda Carter's characterisation of the family the draft chapters for her biography of Anthony Blunt as unbalanced and sensational. He also hopes that the biography will not give undue prominence to his homosexuality and expresses a willingness to assist her with factual details to improve the accuracy of her depiction of the family. There is attached a yellow post-it note with the following, in manuscript, undated: "Ian, Here is the cover letter to Miranda Carter. I also attached six pages of detailed comments. I await her reply. Simon. Thanks for your help".
