Letter from Michael Metcalf, manuscript, one folio (recto & verso), dated 4 May 1991, thanking IS for allowing him to see his Shillington paper, to which he suggests on a minor re-wording of one passage. DMM also thanks IS for the offprint of the article on the forgeries of William I and for his kind words on the ANS medal. He recounts his recent visit to New York [to collect the medal], including sailing around Manhattan and having a drink on the 107th floor of the World Trade Centre with aeroplanes flying below.
