Letter from Mary Yule, typescript, single page, dated 30 August 1994, with two attachments (listed below), asking Lord Stewartby to provide his expert opinion on an application from the Devizes Museum in Wiltshire for a grant in support of an acquisition of coins from the Box hoard, noting that the Committee will consider the application on 12 September. The two attachments consist in:
(a) grant application form completed in typescript (photocopy), five pages on five folios (recto only), undated, giving details of the applicant, the items to be acquired, the price or valuation of the items and other potential funding as well as supporting statements with enumerated further descriptions of the items, also explaining their importance and the Museum's reasons for wishing to acquire them.
(b) photograph (black & white) of ten coins (one side only), with a number key that links to the supporting statement with further descriptions of the items.
