Letter from Martin Allen, in typescript, dated 9 November 1993, with a revised text of his paper on "The Durham mint before Boldon Book" attached. MA notes that he has dealt with the Dunwich question (p. 1) and the Bishop Bek evidence (p. 2); the most significant changes in the ensuing pages, but the additions have taken him over the word limit and may necessitate removing his discussion of the Tealby chronology (pp. 7-8) for separate publication. The letter is annotated. The attached paper includes 9pp of text, 4pp of notes and a 2-page appendix.
