Letter from Maria Perry to William French, 24th January 1849. Written from Bedford. Thanks the Master for purchasing the portrait of Archbishop Sterne from her. Her late severe illness forced her to part with it. and she thanks him for encouraging the society to give her more for the painting than they had originally wanted to. Asks for some small amount of further money from each of them as charity for her
