Written from Norman Hill, West Dursley. Writes to say that when he was an undergraduate eight or nine years ago to the best of his knowledge, he or one of his companions mischievously threw a stone and broke one or more windows in Jesus College near the principle entrance. He expresses much regret for this and apologises for taking so long to admit to it. Encloses £1 by way of restitution but will pay more if it is felt more should be given.
