Scope and content

Letter from Howard Linecar, typescript, one folio (recto & verso), dated 10 February 1967, thanking IS for his letter and cheque, which has been credited to his account, and stating that he should receive proofs to read in the next week. He welcomes the idea put forward by IS about reprinting some of the more important articles that have appeared in the BNJ. He says that the more important articles will sell easily, even if they are outdated, noting in particular that the Carlyon-Britton's articles on William I, the Grant R. Francis's articles and similar material is very sellable when separately bound. He suggests that it would be worthwhile to set up a small publishing committee with the aim of reviewing what is worth reprinting. He foresees problems, especially in the area of finance, but suggests they discuss the matter in greater detail.
