Letter from Henry John Todd to William French, written from Lambeth Palace Library. 1 item, paper. Gives his thanks to French for granting permission for a copy of the painting of Cranmer to be made which is hanging in the Combination Room and was given by the Lord Middleton who married a descendant of the Archbishop. Generally thanks French for his willingness to help with he research and looks forward to meeting him in Cambridge soon after describing his travelling route taking in Yorkshire, Birmingham, Oxford and London. Mentions at the end that the Archbishop of Canterbury left Lambeth Palace to go to consecrate a church in Canterbury.
