Letter from H. G. Hope (?) to William French. Says the Morning Herald has begun to publish the evidence before the House of Commons outlining the monopoly of the universities in regard to Bibles. Would be happy to draw up an article on the subject. Could French send him some of his thoughts? He would then show a copy to the Bishop of Ely (?). He then hopes he can demonstrate the errors of the case as it exists. The Ministers have worked fast and already have a bill to present and intend to keep church property for church uses. They haven't mentioned anything about church rates. Asks French not to quote him on any of this information but that he can depend on his support. Leaves London on Tuesday for Hadleigh, but letters can be addressed to him at 250 Regent Street in the meantime.
