Letter from Chris Rudd, in typescript, single page, dated 6 January 1999, stating that the owner of an Aethelwald/Ecgberht sceat has asked him to sell the coin and that he [CR] expects to include it in an Early Medieval catalogue in the coming Spring. He asks IS whether he would be able to write a brief note on the coin for the sale catalogue, since IS acquired the only other known specimen from Spink in 1978.
