Scope and content
A letter written from Buddy to Percy on hearing of the death of Steve Fairbairn. The letter sings the praises of Fairbairn and his skill as a coach, and tells Percy of the crew he is currently coaching - they are not very good and have little hope of winning. He closes the letter with his hopes that Percy will keep the Jesus crew 'free of all nonsense and make them work their blades to move the boat'.
Includes the original envelope - addressed to Percy Bullock Esq., 16 New Square, Cambridge
