Scope and content

Letter from Bill Seaby, typescript, single page, dated 2 February 1966, with two-page attachment, providing cover for the attachment, which may be described as follows:
(a) carbon-copy of a letter from Bill Seaby to Stewart Lyon, typescript, one page and a bit on two folios (recto only), dated 2 February 1966, explaining the results of his examination of 155 obverse dies of the Irish coinage of Henry III and their implications for the output of the long-cross coinage in English mints.
In his letter to IS, Bill Seaby invites him to express his views on the figures contained in his letter to Stewart Lyon in regard to both the Dublin mint and the total output of the English long-cross coinage. There is a manuscript note in the lower margin referring to an enclosure of "proofs of Balleny hoard", which he asks IS to post back to [Horace Herbert] King as soon as possible.
