Scope and content
Four letters from Barries Cook, the last one with an attachment:
(a) typescript & manuscript, single page, dated 16 March 2001, with the typescript giving details of early nobles and quarter-nobles from the Reigate hoard (Brokes Road), Surrey (1990). The handwritten note below states only that the details are taken from BC's work on a full catalogue of the hoard, which was discovered on 22 September 1990.
(b) typescript, single page, dated 11 February 2002, stating only that "the leaf trefoil half-noble in the Reigate hoard has just two leaves as punctuation, with a little saltire at the end", and giving a transcription of the legend.
(c) typescript, single page, dated 2 July 2003, providing some details of HIB REX coins in terms of the weight and, for half of the coins, provenance, separated by type, to which there are manuscript additions and corrections, probably in the hand of IS.
(d) typescript, single, page, dated 3 May 2005, reflecting on the finer details of a "lis over ? angel" in the inscription on a particular coin and including, as an attachment (e), the detail of an enlarged scan of the relevant area of the coin.
