The lease describes Edward Preston as a publican and William Collin as a merchant. The land which is the subject of the lease is described as a piece or parcel of freehold ground situate and being in the Parish of St Andrew the Less...being part and parcel of a piece of ground which was allotted to the said Edward Preston by the Commissioners for inclosing Barnwell in their award dated 20 April 1811
