Comprises correspondence relating to the International Design Conference in Aspen on 'Order and Disorder' (18-23 Jun 1967) for which Bronowski gave the closing speech. Includes letters about tape recordings of Bronowski's address, and about publication in a Reader based on outstanding papers given at the Aspen Design Conferences over 20 years (compiled by Rayner Banham, Professor of History of Architecture, University College London).

Also includes: summaries of Bronowski's closing address to the conference, including an annotated copy (26 Nov 1967) and a proof for publication; a press release on the outcomes of the conference ("International Design Conference defines Designer's role in a Disorderly Society", 17 Jul 1967); a photocopy of Bronowski's handwritten notes on the conference (23 Jun 1967); a Salk Institute press release entitled "Social violence analysed by Bronowski at Aspen conference" (23 Jun 1967); a copy of a press cutting about Bronowski's closing address (The San Diego Union, 23 Jun 1967); photocopy of a galley proof of an article by Peter Blake on the conference ('Slaughter at the Summit', Architectural Forum, vol. 127, Jul/Aug 1967); a press release about publication of 'The Face of Violence' (15 May 1967); a letter from Edward Laskowski (president of Polonia Society of Colorado) inviting Bronowski to visit the Society in Denver; a letter from Henry A Sauerwein (executive director, The Helene Wurlitzer Foundation of New Mexico) on seeing Bronowski and Rita Bronowski, and on reading some of Bronowski's books (23 Jun 1967); and a "speaking engagement" information sheet [made for the file].
