Comprises correspondence relating to a project proposed by Bronowski to record (by audio tape or film) contemporary history of science by interviewing key biologists and physicists. Proposed interviewees included J D Bernal, Max Born, Paul Dirac, Wolfgang Pauli, Julian Huxley, and J B S Haldane.
Also includes a copy of a memorandum to Basil O'Conner (President, The National Foundation) from Saul Benison on the need for an archive to be established at the Salk Institute, and for an archivist to be employed (1962).
