Colin Renfrew

Includes a CD on which is copy of a speech made at installation dinner. Renfrew talks about various anecdotes including items of biographical interest. The introduction to Renfrew's speech details his significant work as an archaeologist, 7 October 1986. Also included on the CD are speeches made by Renfrew on the occasion of two fellows, Alan Percival and Charles Wilson, being fellows of the College for 50 years, 1 October 1988.

Geoffrey Barham Johnson album. Volume 3

The album was donated to Jesus College by Natalie Barham Chalker, niece of Geoffrey Barham Johnson, who came up to Jesus College in October 1912. The photographs include the Lent Races in Cambridge and Henley and May Bumps on the River Cam, amateur dramatics cast and May Ball photographs, and studio portrait photographs of fellow students from Jesus College. Also included are two newspaper obituaries of one of these friends, Lieutenant E.G. Myddleton, killed at Le Cateau, 26 August 1914. Geoffrey Barham Johnson also lost his life during the war on 23 November 1915 and is buried in the British Cemetery at Vermelles, in the Pas de Calais.

The Wheatsheaf Club, Minute Book

Record book of the club, founded 'for the drinking of beer' in April 1921. A list of rules from that time is followed by minutes of meetings from 28 April 1921 onwards. They end with the 104th meeting, and financial accounts follow, ending with those for Easter term 1929. At the back is a list of names (and in some cases addresses) of honorary members.

Contains minutes of meetings 105 to 113. There is no sign that the club was discontinued, but some three quarters of the volume is blank.
