Comprises correspondence, mainly with Columbia University (New York) and Time Magazine who jointly organised a conference on 'The Environment of Change' at Airlie House, Warrenton, Virginia (18-21 Sep 1966). Correspondence is on Bronowski attending and giving a paper on 'The Impact of New Science' and on conference papers being published by Columbia University in a book called 'The Environment of Change'.
Also includes: conference programmes; photocopied and handwritten notes by Bronowski on "Impact of New Science"; a list of participants; correspondence with Time (the weekly newsmagazine) on sending Bronowski a scrapbook of the conference; correspondence with Professor Ivar Berg (Columbia University) on Bronowski giving a reference for Professor Dean Morse whom he met at the conference; annotated transcripts of discussion during the conference and annotated typescripts of Bronowski's paper on 'The Impact of New Science' given at the conference; and a "speaking engagement" information sheet [made for the file].
For the acquisition of this living, see the Grant by Letters Patent of Philip and Mary 5 March 1558, in the Steel Press, shelf 8, labelled Dr Fuller's foundation. The advowson was conferred on the College by Thomas Thirlby, Bishop of Ely 1554-59, who purchased It from the Crown for £100. The files contain one document of 1619, and others from 1839-1945.
