Consists of an agenda and minutes of the first meeting of the Sub-Committee of the Operating Committee of the Salk Institute. Drs. Eckhart, Holley and Lennox attended.
Tr. 1: Lead stylus with one pointed and one flat end and used in a similar fashion to a pencil. Examples from Coppergate, York exist and are identical to Winchester Class 2 type styli and generally date from the 13th to 15th centuries (Ottaway & Rogers 2002, 2934). Length 104mm.
Consists of a spiral bound volume containing transcripts of discussions held by the Study Group on Societal Features of Repetitive Drug Use, organised by the Council for Biology in Human Affairs. Meetings were held in Jul, Aug and Sep 1972 and were sponsored by the National Commission on Marijuana and Drug Abuse, the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation, the Drug Abuse Council and the Rockefeller Foundation.
As well as transcripts the volume contains a letter from Harry Boardman (Secretary General of the Council) about the transcripts, an agenda and details of meetings, and a list of participants.
Comprises material relating to a study group (based at the University of California at Davis and originally called the Study Group for the Foundation of Cultural Unity) which Bronowski joined the Organising/Steering Committee for.
A meeting of the study group was held at the Salk Institute.
