Comprises: correspondence between Bronowski and Monod (Institut Pasteur, Paris) on subjects including Monod advising Bronowski about his Condon lectures [on 'The Philosophy of Contemporary Science']; a draft typescript of [Bronowski's Condon lectures]; a photocopied press cutting and translated text of Monod's lecture at College de France about Molecular Biology (1967); flight times for Monod's return journey from San Diego (Feb 1972); handwritten notes by Bronowski about a discussion with Monod (Feb 1968); correspondence with William Glazier [Assistant for Fellows' Affairs, Salk Institute], and a letter from Jerome B. Wiesner, about there not being a formal meeting of the Fellows of the Salk Institute at a Cold Spring Harbor symposium (1966); a photocopy of an article about Monod winning the Nobel prize for physiology or medicine (1965); and a copy of a letter to Monod from Renato Dulbecco about a lecture Monod was to deliver.

Received of Dr. Caryl one pound three shillings and fourpence due to the Poor of Shelford for 7 years ended at Michaelmas last.

Comprises correspondence on Bronowski being invited to address the Technology and Culture Seminar at Massachusetts Institute of Technology as part of a series on 'The Images of Man', Bronowski accepting and suggesting he lecture on 'The Impersonality of Science' based on his paper 'A Twentieth Century Image of Man', cancellation of Bronowski's talk due to illness, and requests for a transcript of Bronowski's planned address or for him to give the talk at a later date.

Also includes a record about the engagement created for the file, invitations to other lectures in the series, information about the 'Images of Man' series and a paper on the Technology and Culture Seminar.
