The College proposed forwarding the money to help the Vicar whose tithes fell due at about the same time; but Stoddart objected to this arrangement.
Price to reitre in April 1945, on reaching his eightieth year. Under 'Pensions (older incumbents) measure' he will get £175 p.a. of which £35 will come from the income of the benefice. There is also a note in July 1945 that the College will present A.F. Gardiner to the post.
