Return of Hodgson's Lease- cites the lease of Mr. Clayton which the Rev. spoke to Mr. Pemberton about, stating that a Mr. Hazard called upon Mr. Hirower from Mr. Truslove. Mr. Hazard stated that when Mr. Truslove wrote to the Rev. about the agreement with the land certain stipulations were made (approved by a Mr. Woolley). The writers of the letter say that the Company have not agreed to any part of this, and it is being treated as a disputed claim and the money is currently being held in the possession of the Court. They state that either party is at liberty to summon a jury and until this is done the money will remain in the possession of the Court.
Note from M Crofts, saying that he presents his Counpts(?) to the Master of jesus College and begs him to acknowledge the receipt of £3 4s, due to Croft as one of the Barnaby Lectureres for this year ending June 1831. Noted Christ Colllege, July 14 1832.
