Invoice for Estates.

5th September 1859 at Mrs Porchers, Jesus Lane, as per estimate for new boarding, the side of front kitchen, prepare a pump standard for the force pump and fix it on oak sills. Includes cost of oak and mans' time. Repair sash frame, rehang sash in the kitchen, fix new window boards, taken down and refit iron guards to the windows. Make a curb for sinking the well.

14th November (crossed out): mend gardener's barrow.
10th May 1859: making 4 (?) of garden stakes.

Courts and precincts:
November 1858: Mend fence in the Masters Close. 6 6-inch spikes 1/4 c 5 inch nails and mans time.
February 1859: Repair the fence next the Common, 30 10 inch nails, 30 tenter hooks, iron hooping, tar. Mans time.
March 8th: Fix a new part of fence adjoining the common with posts and nails. Nails, tenter hooks, spikes, tar, mans time.
Mend the fence in the masters close, deal, tar, nails, and mans time.
Work to new cistern of servants water closets, deal, nails.
August 17th: Prepare and fix new bearers for the cistern. Fix a new roof to above, take down seats for alteration of pipes and attend on the plumbers.
August 24th: work continued. Prepare and fix a top to and make a lid to enclose cistern. Cutting fallen tree and work to the close. Mend the wheel of barrow of the Fellows Garden. Shore up the tree in the 3rd (Third) Court for fixing irons to.

The College:
November 1858: Mend the Table in (Hall?) and fix the brackets on door. Mans time, nails, screws.
14th December 1858: Make and fix in a model for parts of the stove in the Hall for casting.
February 1859: Mend the combination room floor. Fix block in staircase for (?). Buttery 3ft () 5/7 deal for wine packing.
30th July: Mr Westmorlands. Repair the skylight frame, fix fixing to ceilings and repair boarding to the roof. Deal, nails, screws, mens time. Fix fastenings on the buttery door

Kitchen:
Repair plate ran, rehang cupboard door in larder, make and fix a foot board under the dresser.

Bill for carpentry work, received by the Master and Fellows of Jesus College from Geoffrey Bradwell. Total payment £86 13s 2d. Including payment for boarding the partition and fixing the skirting in the Master's Lodge. Work to the college: building a new water closet, fixing new roof to the Wood house yard, mending doors, mending floor of passage to Fellow's Garden and floor of hall, installing ventilating shades, building a linen cupboard, fixing skirting, take up Hall floor and wainscot for gas fitters, make a model for a stove, fixing a new casement, mending coal bin, repairing the Cornice gutter in the cloisters, fitting cupboards in gyp rooms in I and F staircases, mending door in staircase no. 8 and 4, laying a new floor in the Stewards Hall and mend floor and table. Work to the courts: repairing the fence next to and in the paddock, make good the fence to the wood house yard, mend a door in the loft, work to the young men's, servants, fellows and porters water closets, mend pump casing, mend fence next to the Common and lay a new plate to the out place. Work to the kitchens: mend plate rack and knife board, ease doors, mend dresser, fit drawers and fix a shelf. Work to the Chapel: fix stud work in front of arch and choir to fix canvases, make a temporary screen, make curtains, making cloth to cover the organ, assist paper hangers and make and fit a pair of folding doors. Bill also includes cost of deal, bolts, nails, buttons, sock, glue, bolts, screws, butts, knobs, tar, tenter hooks, birch, iron brackets and calico. Bill for repairing floors, doors and other work to college rooms. Total payment of £7 2s 11d. Includes payment for: repairing the floor in rooms 1, 4 and 6, staircase C; mending doors, bins [coal bins?] and flooring in staircase E, room 9; mending floor in room 3, L staircase; work to door in room 3 and 4, B staircase; making and hanging a door in room 2, B staircase; battoning the walls, room 8, K staircase. Also includes payment for floor boards, nails, deal, butts and screws. Dated 28th November 1866 and signed by Thomas Bradwell for D. Bradwell and Sons.
