Further, the payment of £30, 0s, 0d to Edward Mason to freight the coal, and £15, 0s, 0d to William Barton to haul and portage it to the coal house.

Barton for carting 46 tonnes fo coals and porterage on the 26th of August 1845, carting 50 tonnes of coal and porterage on the 4th September 1845, carting 33 tonnes of coal and porterage on 17th of September 1845, and carting 31 tonnes of coal and porterage on 22nd September 1845.
