Invoice dated August 31 1829 from John Stockdale & Sons to Revd Dr French concerning the sale of 35 chaldrons of ducks coals totalling £49 17s 6d for Edward Mason. Continuing into a letter dated September 3 1829 to Dr French detailing the invoice, apologising for the quality of last year's coal. According to the letter, the quality and quantity of the coals were out of John Stockdale & Sons power and they had were forced to take only what had been offered by the coal merchants in the North. The price has been reduced.
