Osborne's Land Tax Receipt

The first item is a land and assessed tax receipt for the first moiety of 1861-2, for Mr Osborne of the parish of Willingham, dated 28 October 1861 and totalling 8s 1 1/2d. Signed by Alfred Underwood, collector.
The second item notes that 'Mr Osborne had lost all his vouchers except this one', so his property tax was taken to be 9s 9d and his land tax for two other terms taken to be 8s 8 1/2d each, and there are calculations for a total based on these numbers.

A bundle of items relating to Mr Ellis from the parish of Willingham.
The first two items are income tax receipts, for the third and fourth quarter of 1860-1, for Ellis, dated 22 January 1861 (9s 6d) and 24 April 1861 (9s 6d). First signed by William Howlett and second by Alfred Underwood.
The third item is a land and assessed tax receipt addressed to Ellis for the first moiety of 1861-2, dated 29 October 1861, for the sum of £1 8s 3d, signed by Alfred Underwood.
The fourth item is a receipt for a land tax, dated 27 November 1860, for a sum of £1 3s 3d, upon £7 2s 3d of fen land in Cottenham Level, belonging to the Master of Jesus College. Signed as received by Haird.
The fifth item is a land and assessed tax receipt addressed to Ellis for the second moiety of 1860-1, dated 26 April 1861, for the sum of £1 8s 3d, signed by William Howlett.
The sixth and seventh items are receipts for a land tax, dated 27 November 1860 and 30 March 1861, for a sum of 12s each, upon £5 1s 3d of fen land in Cottenham Level, belonging to Jesus College. Signed as received by J Haird.
The eighth item is an invoice from Mrs Ellis to J Blunt for an allotment gate, totalling 11s. Signed as settled by Blunt, 3 April 1861. On the back is a note totalling the charges of the rest of the bundle.

Three land tax receipts. All paid by Mrs Ellis of Jesus College in the parish of Willingham, Cambridge. One for £1 8s 3d, two quarters tax in the tax year 1861-2. Dated 20th April 1862 and signed by Alfred Underwood. Two for 12s, the first and second instalments in the tax year 1862, for 5 acres, 3 roods and 1 perch of fen land belonging to Jesus College in Cottenham Level. Both signed by J. Haird.

Dated 30th April 1862, 11th March 1862, 31st October 1860 and 4th December 1861. 2 receipts for land tax in the same parish, both for 14s. Dated 30th April 1862 and 29th October 1861. All paid by Dr Whittlesey of Jesus College and signed by Alfred Underwood.

The fourth and fifth items are land and assesseed tax receipts for the first and second moiety of 1860-1, dated 3 May 1861 and 31 October 1860, totalling 14s each. Signed by William Howlett and Alfred Underwood.
