Comprises correspondence, press cuttings and other material related to a competition for one-act plays organised by Stagecraft Theatre (San Diego) for which Bronowski was a judge (1965). The competition had previously been held in the Old Globe Theatre (San Diego). A play entitled 'A Cat called Jesus' won and Bronowski was summoned to appear before the Subcommittee on School Personnel and Teacher Qualifications of the Interim Committee on Education of the Assembly of the State of California to act as a witness. The author of the play was a school teacher and a complaint had been made about the play.
