Scope and content
Letter from Wentworth to the Master and Fellows of Jesus College, stating: I have surveyed the property on lease to Mr Richard Barber comprising eleven cottages in King Street and I estimate the dilapidations thereon at thirteen pounds fourteen shillings and eight pence. I think it right to suggest to the college that if the property is to be retained by the society and let at back rents it would be very desirable that pumps and water cloets to communicate with the common sewer should be constructed, as at present all the tenants have to go to ther premises for water and I am told in some cases to pay for it
