        History

        George Henry Coles was born on 1 June 1871 in London and attended school in Marlborough. He came up to Jesus College in 1889 receiving a B. A. in 1892 and an M. A in 1896 as G, H. Pinckard. He was admitted into Lincoln's Inn on 24 June 1892 as George Henry Coles and became Lord of the Manor of Witley, Sunningdale. He died on the 9 July 1950.
