Scope and content

Letter from J. Carter Jonas & Sons (Land Agents) to the Bursar concerning notice given by the current tenants (Messrs Gough & Son Ltd) who had been using the premises to store private ledgers, books and some staff to keep them safe from enemy action in Norwich. They had found two potential new tenants - Mrs Connard who wished to live on the ground floor and use the upper rooms as a studio and Mr A. F. Chaplin who wished to use the premises as a small office for board meetings once a month. Mr Chaplin was "known to us" and they recommended him as the preferred tenant
