        History

        Francis (or Frank) Deshon Browne was born in 1871 at Cananore, India to James Francis, Archdeacon of Madras. He attended school at Newton College and came up to Jesus College in 1889 receiving a B.A in 1892 and an M.A in 1902. He became Assistant Master at Cordwalles, Maidenhead between 1892 and 1904. He was ordained as a deacon in 1895 and priest in 1897 and became Headmaster of LAmbrook School in Bracknell from 1904 to 1930. He died at Wokingham on 10 February 1940.
