Arthur Patrick Snell was born on 17 March 1870 at Feering, Essex and attended Haileybury school. He came up to Jesus College in 1889 and received a B.A. in 1892 an M. A. in 1896. He was Assistant Headmaster of Windlesham House Pre. school, Brighton for three years; at Cottesmore Hove in 1895; Founded a preparatory school at Mowden Hall, Hatfield, Essex in 1896, which moved to Brighton in 1901. He married in 1906 and died on 26 July 1937 in Brighton.

John Philpott Henry Soper was born on 18 February 1869 at Ilford Essex and attended school in Chigwell. He came up to Jesus College in 1887 receiving a B.A in 1890 and a LL.B in 1891. He was called to the Bar at Lincoln's Inn on 26 January 1893. He married Edith, daughter of David Munro, Littlehampton, on 2 September 1902, and lived at Rock, Wadebridge, Cornwall until he died on 7 October 1946.
Peter Winter Sparhawk was a graduate of Cornell University, a Captain in the U.S. Air Force, a member of the 1956 Olympic Rowing Team, coach of Princeton University Crew for 23 years, and a strong Christian man of endless faith. He was well known in the rowing world, not only for his athletic abilities and coaching prowess, but for his hand-crafted rowing trophies through Sparhawk Model Oars. He was honored by being inducted to the Cornell Athletic Hall of Fame in 1984. He took great pride in his work, his family and his faith, yet was a humble man admired by all who knew him. He loved the water, was an avid boatsman, a tinkerer of all things, and a loving husband, father, and family man with an endless sense of humor and playfulness that touched everyone
