Statement by John Brand, a farmer aged 79, about premises now belonging to James Barton, sworn at Cambridge beofre a Master in chancery, and on which he made his mark.

Conveyance of land from the London and North Western Railway Company to the Revd Osmond Fisher, Rector of Harlton, a small piece of land compulsorily purchased, now superfluous. With a preliminary Memorandum between the railway company and O. Fisher (1872), a couple of drafts and two letters of Fisher in May 1873.

Correspondence about two cottages and ten acres of land, belonging to the Proby Fund. Much discussion about the value, rents, suggestions for sale etc. With a small coloured plan, Letters from the Rectors Osmond Fisher 1887-1906, Willam Ellison 1909-1922, his widow 1922, and F. Rowling 1923-1926.

Printed conveyance (copy) by Osmond Fisher of a cottage and land at Harlton to form an endowment for maintaining the organ, which Fisher designed and installed in 1869 in memory of his wife.

Hinxton

The advowson of Hinxton Vicarage was acquired by the College in 1558 by gift of Thomas Thirlby, Bishop of Ely, who bought it, together with five others, from the Crown for £100. See the grant by Letters Patent, Philip and Mary, in Cal. Pat. Rolls, 1557-8, p.40. the original is in the Steel Press, shelf 8 (Dr Fuller's Foundation). The benefice was united to that of Ickleton 16.5.1930, the college retaining the right of presentation every alternate turn.

Draft conveyance

Agreement between the Great Eastern Railway Company and the Vicar of Hinxton relating to land that was a portion of the abandoned railway from Chesterford to Newmarket.

Letter from W.O. Cleave

Letter to the Master, announcing that he is no longer a Fellow, as he married yesterday. His wife's health requires that they go to Jersey, but he would like to hold Hinxton a little longer, in the hope of being able to defray the expenses he has gone to in settig the place in order.

LeFray, Josias

Opinion of Mr Ducarel

A.C. Ducarel, Doctors Commons, to Mr Dickes, cannot find anything about the endowment of Hundon. It was appropriated to the College of Stoke by Clare in 1375, but when the Vicarage was created and endowed is not known.

Correspondence with Queen Anne's Bounty and the Ecclesiastical Commission about an existing loan on the benefice, and measures to be taken for its augmentation. Theer is a reference to damage done to the chancel in 1914.

Bike shed

Correspondence, estimates and draft sketches relating to construction of a new bike shed for the College (of unknown location, although possibly south east corner of College site by Jesus Lane). Estimates provided by Boulton and Paul of Norwich, W. Seymour and Sons, Richard Mallon of Swaffham and J. Roots of East Dereham. 1896; Also plan and elevation by Rattee and Kett, August 1896.

Jesus College, Hall redecoration

Report concerning the redecoration of the College Hall in 1996. Includes copy of letter from Dr. Ian Bristow who carried out paint analysis on the wooden panelling in the Hall and copies of articles from 'Building Design, 26th January 1996' and 'Perspectives, February/March, 1996' relating to the redecoration of the Hall.
