Letter to J. H. H. Goodwin (Bursar) from J. Carter Jonas & Sons, stating a Certificate for £17 16s 6d is enclosed for repairs to the College Estate.

Three invoices stating a sum is due to Coulson & Son for works done. Totals were £73 17s, £6 14s 6d, and £58 17s respectively (from earliest to latest).

Letter to Jesus College Bursar, J. Goodwin, from J. Carter Jonas & Sons regarding payment of rents, noting the difficulties faced by a number of tenants.

(1) Specification for works to be carried out to convert Little Trinity into a lodging house for students containing 5 bedrooms each with a sitting room. Includes a plan showing the existing layout and the proposed changes. Also shown on the plan are "excellent quarters for Tenant or caretaker without without a family"
(2) details of estimates from 4 builders - Rooke, Coulsons, Redding & Son and J.R.L. Bennett
It is noted that there is no electric light in the house and the additional cost of installing electrical writing is given

Correspondence addressed to Goodwin regarding J. Carter Jonas & Sons' attendance before the License Committee of Magistrates at the Shire Hall on the College's behalf. The case related to the loss of the License at "Woodmans Arms", Newmarket Road and a sum of £85 of compensation was agreed.

Letter to J. H. H. Goodwin stating that part of the lease to Messrs Rattee & Kett should have been renewed at Lady Day 1899 but as time had gone passed for renewal it was proposed that the two portions on leasehold should be brought together under one lease.

Reference to dropping iron prices

Letter to the Bursar about the rent to be paid by Mrs Stubbens who was 70 years and had lived in the property for 35 years. They recommended a rent of £45 per annum plus the tenant to pay the Rates instead of £55 per annum

First sheet a receipt for £32 14s 0d on account of the works at 28 Station Road Cambridge, signed J. Carter Jonas and Sons. Second sheet an invoice for interior work at 28 Station Road (£18 14s 0d), for extention work (£13 10s 0d), back lodge repairs to door (10s 0d) totalling £32 14s 0d.

Second sheet contains an invoice for estimate dated March 16th 1926, for supplying 2 1/2"/ 3 1/2" broken Slag for above; spreading same about 3 1/2" thick; picking up 98. Super yards and supplying sand for grouting and also steam rolling same costing £28 10s 0d. Extra costs for spreading and picking up, loamy stones and steam rolling at entrance to court and next to coal shook, to raise level costing £3 8s 6d. Total cost £31 18s 6d. The first sheet contains a receipt for the above.

3rd October 1944 - from J. Carter Jonas & Sons informing the Bursar that they had made out an agreement to lease the property to Mrs Baker but the current lease was made out to Mr G. A. Baker who was away serving in H.M. Forces. As a surrender could not be signed they had made out the lease in Mr Baker's name

4th January 1945 - from J. Carter Jonas & Sons asking for permission from the Bursar to accept a quote for the repair of gates to the yard at the rear of the property which was leased by Mr L. A. Rich

7th June 1946 - letter from Francis & Co to the Bursar informing him that the tenant Mrs Baker had died (6th June) and had a number of debts. They said they were trying to get Mr Baker to sign a surrender of the Agreement and would then get access to the property to assess dilapidations

11th June 1946 - Letter from J. Carter Jonas & Sons to the Bursar stating that when Mrs Baker had signed the Agreement as agent for her husband she had said he was away serving in the Far East but in fact they had separated and he was living in Cambridge. She had rent arrears of £61. 8s. 0d. which her husband refused to pay but he had agreed to clear out the house so the College could gain possession
