Contains the following:
3rd October 1944 - from J. Carter Jonas & Sons informing the Bursar that they had made out an agreement to lease the property to Mrs Baker but the current lease was made out to Mr G. A. Baker who was away serving in H.M. Forces. As a surrender could not be signed they had made out the lease in Mr Baker's name

4th January 1945 - from J. Carter Jonas & Sons asking for permission from the Bursar to accept a quote for the repair of gates to the yard at the rear of the property which was leased by Mr L. A. Rich

7th June 1946 - letter from Francis & Co to the Bursar informing him that the tenant Mrs Baker had died (6th June) and had a number of debts. They said they were trying to get Mr Baker to sign a surrender of the Agreement and would then get access to the property to assess dilapidations

11th June 1946 - Letter from J. Carter Jonas & Sons to the Bursar stating that when Mrs Baker had signed the Agreement as agent for her husband she had said he was away serving in the Far East but in fact they had separated and he was living in Cambridge. She had rent arrears of £61. 8s. 0d. which her husband refused to pay but he had agreed to clear out the house so the College could gain possession

Specification for internal repairs and decorations and formation of a bathroom

26th June 1946 - estimate of £184 16s. 9d. from Rattee & Kett Limited for the above work

(1) 29 December 1933 from J. Carter Jonas & Sons to the Bursar advising him to accept the offer of £29 against the original claim of £31 17s. 6d. for dilapidations and stating that Mrs Haddock was living in the property with no formal agreement and asking if they should contact her and re let on the usual College terms.

(2) 10 January 1935 – from the Bursar to H. M. Inspector of Taxes confirming that on the expiry of the lease on No. 9 at Ladyday 1934 the property was let to Mr W. E. Haddock.

(1) letter stating that Miss Kett had been granted an abatement in the rent of £5 owing to war conditions and asking this be extended as conditions were worse than during the war and much inconvenience had been experienced owing to the houses on both sides having been requisitioned;

(2) letter presenting an account from Mr F. Andrews for work done and giving details about tree roots causing drains to be blocked at 18 Station Road

Correspondence regarding compensation from the Magistrates Court

Correspondence addressed to Goodwin regarding J. Carter Jonas & Sons' attendance before the License Committee of Magistrates at the Shire Hall on the College's behalf. The case related to the loss of the License at "Woodmans Arms", Newmarket Road and a sum of £85 of compensation was agreed.

Super yards and supplying sand for grouting and also steam rolling same costing £28 10s 0d. Extra costs for spreading and picking up, loamy stones and steam rolling at entrance to court and next to coal shook, to raise level costing £3 8s 6d. Total cost £31 18s 6d. The first sheet contains a receipt for the above.
