Account of payment of £4 16s made to Jeremiah Hurley for work scraping earth and rubbish into ditch, including employment of 16 men.

Account of payments totalling £3 3s from the Master and Fellows of Jesus College to R. Reynolds Rowe for surveying and landscaping tasks relating to a ditch.

Addressed to the Master and Fellows. Rowe has received instructions to survey the College Farm at Over following a fire there, and has travelled there to make a plan of the ruined buildings and make drawings and specifications for new ones. These new buildings were to cost £1131, but the drawings were amended when the Master told him (via Mr Mitham, builder and tender) to reduce the cost to £1000, if possible. The altered drawings and specifications were sent to the master tenders from Messrs Tracy, Smith & Crawley, Gray, and Mitham, and Mr Gray's tender was accepted. Rowe also had to journey to Over several times to oversee the work, and has measured up extra work and certified contractors' account. Total cost for Rowe's work - spanning May 1873 to April 1874 and including a 5% commission and travel expenses for him and his assistance - was £53 8s. 9d. Paid in two installments on 27th April and 5th June 1874.

Bill for attending the college solicitors, sending instructions for repairs on leases, and sending copies to Octavius Parker (totalling £64) and Miss Hilton (totalling £155). Also includes a bill due to Frederick Parker (£250), bill for surveying the Greyhound estate, and bills for surveying for the Vine Estate, Field's Court and a cottage in Fisher's Lane (£3970).

Payment of 5s 6d to W. Burbage for work to chimney at the house of Mr Pettit on Belmont Place. Includes payment for preparing pantiling, putting in the glass pantile and making the hood.

Includes payments for new door frame at the Garden on Jesus Lane (tenant Walkers), new fence at the Estate on Newmarket road (tenant Mrs Bailey) and repairing joist and floor art Manor Court (tenant Munall). Payment of £5 15s 6d to W. Burbage for building a wall on Jesus Lane. Also includes payments for building and coping bricks, cement, sand and mortar.

Includes payments for work done to the roof, plastering the front and back of the house, and putting in rafters. Record of two payments to James Burbage for work to college houses. First includes payment of 13s for relaying tiles in the yard of Manor House and work to the kitchen and staircase window in Mrs Hinson's. Second includes payment of 4s 6d for repairing tiles on the roof of Mr Jerrold's house.
