Percy helped us in 1950 when the School won the Thames Cup. Now, twenty-one years later, he steps aside, a friend to all of us. Luckily for me, in this year of our Lord 1971, my father, my son and I will be at Henley, cheering for the crews and honouring Percy Bullock, Boatman and Gentleman.

He tells him of the many photographs and slides he has of his visit to England, and in particular his later visit to Jesus College boathouse and Percy's home, where they rowed in singles and rode in his three wheeled car. He closes the letter expressing his regret that others will not get to meet Percy, and wishes him the best of luck in his retirement.

A letter from Allen H. Stowe in Ridgewood, New Jersey to Percy reminiscing on the 1956 crew. He tells him he has lost contact with most of the other members, except Leigh Faldi and Frank bates, and that he has heard rumours that 'Henley may not survive as the one truly international annual regatta'.
